Truck mileage + fuel cost

Two cities and a rate. We pull practical miles (truck-routable, not great-circle), drive time, real diesel cost from this week's regional EIA average, plus market $/mi and a grade so you know if the load is worth taking.

How fuel cost is calculated

Miles are practical driving routes from Google's distance matrix. Diesel price is pulled live from a federal weekly retail benchmark — regional if we can identify the origin state, national otherwise. Miles ÷ MPG = gallons; gallons × price = cost.

Heads-up: actual pump price varies ±50¢ from the regional average depending on the truck stop. Use this for go/no-go decisions, not precise budgeting.
