How the rate is matched

We try the most specific match first — your exact origin-to-destination lane — and fall back through state-level, then regional, then national if there isn't enough recent data on your lane. The confidence label tells you which match level you got.

  • Lane-specific — direct match on your origin → destination pair. Highest confidence.
  • State-level — origin and destination state pair. Good for less-trafficked lanes.
  • Regional / National — used as a fallback. Treat the number as a ballpark, not a quote.

Rates update weekly. Use the trend line — not just the headline number — to decide whether the market is moving with you or against you.
