Box truck numbers stay box truck numbers
Rate estimates are grouped by equipment, so box truck loads are never mixed with tractor-trailer or hotshot loads. When there isn't enough box truck data yet, we say so instead of guessing.
Figures are estimates based on what you upload. General information only — not tax or legal advice.
Questions
Is this only for long-haul semis?
No. It is one product for semis, hotshots and box trucks, and it changes with what you drive. Tell it you run a box truck and it starts with a box truck profile and keeps your rates in a box truck pool.
Can I invoice a contract or final-mile customer, not a broker?
Yes. The customer on an invoice is whoever you bill — a delivery contractor, a shipper, a warehouse or a broker. Invoices are built from the paperwork you snap, and you check each one before it goes out.
Does it handle a route with many stops in a day?
Each load holds a pickup and a delivery with dock times. For a many-stop route day, keep the route as one load and attach the manifest and delivery receipts to it. Stop-by-stop route sheets aren't split out yet.
Does a box truck need IFTA?
Only if it is a qualified motor vehicle: two axles and over 26,000 lb, three or more axles, or pulling a trailer with a combined weight over 26,000 lb. A two-axle box truck at 26,000 lb or less usually isn't. If you aren't registered, switch IFTA off in Settings and we won't remind you about quarters. Confirm with your base state.
Can I claim per diem on local routes?
Per diem for meals generally needs travel away from home overnight. Same-day local routes usually don't qualify. Per diem days in the app are estimates from your trips and loads, and you can change any day. Confirm with your tax professional.
